Buying power is understood and deeply analysed by all brands. As consumers, if you buy a brand that cares about the environment and climate change then they will keep working hard to improve and keep your custom, and the brands who don’t care and that we stop supporting will change their ways even quicker.

Unfortunately, in many cases buying a green product or service can cost a little more. This is simply because the world has been developed on the use of cheap fossil fuels since the start of the industrial revolution. It is sad but true, that manufacturing using dirty carbon-based energy is cheaper than green manufacturing. If you can afford to pay an often small ‘green premium’, like you may for organic or free-range produce, then brands will change must faster and you will be reducing your carbon footprint.
