Lydia Malley, Head of EI Academy at the Energy Institute, will highlight the critical need to expand the offshore wind workforce by 1 million workers within the next decade and outline strategies for comprehensive education and training. Steve Jermy, CEO of Celtic Sea Power, will delve into the potential of FLOW technology in Britain’s Celtic Sea, focusing on economic and job creation opportunities, and its contribution to Britain’s net zero and energy security goals. Raya Peterson, Head of Offshore Wind Advisory, Ramboll.

Biog, Raya Peterson leads Ramboll’s global Offshore Wind project development and advisory team with a strong focus on the UK, the US and Central Europe. He has more than 15 years of experience from successfully leading and supporting diverse technical and commercial advisory services for investors, lenders and developers within the wind energy sector. Raya has been involved in over 20 realised offshore projects and gained detailed understanding of business cases, costs, regulatory frameworks, market standards and industry best practices.

Lydia Malley, Head of EI Academy, Energy Institute.

Biog, Lydia Malley is Head of EI Academy at the Energy Institute, the chartered professional membership body for people who work across the world of energy. She is working to attract, develop and equip the diverse future energy workforce with the skills they’ll need to accelerate a just global energy transition to net zero.

Her current role oversees the training courses that the Energy Institute offers across the breadth of the energy sector, but she has spent almost a decade at the Energy Institute, across various different roles and departments, enjoying a varied career. She is passionate about upskilling and empowering others.

Steve Jermy, CEO, Celtic Sea Power.

Biog, Celtic Sea Power is an arm’s length Cornwall Council company promoting the industrial development of Cornwall’s floating offshore wind (FLOW) sector. In Steve’s 1st career, his experience included diving, offshore aviation, underwater operations, fishery protection, command of 4 ships and senior appointments in MoD’s policy departments and Afghanistan. In his 2nd career, he worked for Mojo Maritime Ltd and James Fisher Group plc, on FLOW, wave and tidal energy projects. Steve is a also Chair of the Celtic Sea Cluster and a Fellow of the Nautical Institute and Institute of Marine Engineers, Scientists and Technologists.
